Rosie Lee Murray's Obituary
Rosie Lee Murray, 74, of Decatur, IL went home to be with her Lord on Wednesday, September 18, 2013 in her home with her family by her side.
She was born in Panther Burn, MS a true gift from the Lord. She was truly blessed and loved by many. Rosie was a great mother, a loving grandmother, a true Christian, a real friend, and always eager to learn something new. She attended Richland Community College to further her education. Rosie also worked at Annie Water Head Start as an extended loving grandparent; she also was a tribal member at her church and truly loved by many.
Rosie’s father, Murray; mother, Lee Flora Taylor; brothers, Robert Taylor; Jessie Taylor; Rosie’s son, Ted Freeman; granddaughter, Stephanie Brown-Smith; and her best friend, Freddie Mae all preceded her in death. Rosie was a true warrior and endured until the beginning of eternal life.
Rosie leaves to cherish fond memories her sons, Samuel, Melvin and Darryl; daughters, Flora (Robert), Cindy (Jimmy) and Andrea (Julius); and hosts of grand children and great-grandchildren, family and friends, a special cousin, Hattie Jackson who she was able to call upon whenever needed. Rosie had a true love for family and lot of respect for her older Aunt and Uncle Minnie Johnson, Will Randle, Lieutenant Randle and also a special love for her church family and her Apostle William and Prophetess Donna Rogers and a genuine love for chicken wings.
Homegoing service to celebrate Rosie’s life will be 11 AM Friday, September 27, 2013 in Kingdom Come Ministries, 321 E. Leafland Ave, Decatur, IL 62521 with Apostle William Rogers officiating. Visitation will be 10-11 AM Friday in the church. Graveside service will be 10 AM Saturday, September 28, 2013 in Graceland Cemetery.
