Roy McClee Black, 85, or Decatur, IL, passed away on Sunday, February 1, 2026, at home. Roy was born on February 23, 1940, the son of James Arthur "Slim" and Florence Francis Richards Black in Somerset, KY. He married Darlene Jean Jones Dedman on March 28, 1987, in Decatur, IL.
He was a retired Business Agent for Labor Local 159. He was an avid fisherman and hunter. He was a champion shuffleboard and poker player.
He is survived by his wife Darlene, daughter Rebecca Clark of Mendota, IL, son Roy "Casey" Black of Decatur, IL, son Daniel McClee Black of Powell Butte, OR, daughter Deanna Carol Black-Royer of Mt. Zion, IL, son Craig Milton Dedman of Harristown, IL, brother James (Junior) and wife Sandy of Bondville, IL, sister Mary Black of Stiles, IL, and sister Ann Whitaker of Monrovia, IN. He is also survived by 9 grandkids and 13 great-grandkids.
Per Roy's wishes, there will be no services.
