Rozella M. Estell's Obituary
Forsyth- Rozella May Estell, 92, of Forsyth passed away Thursday, September 29, 2011 at Decatur Memorial Hospital with her family at her bedside.
A service to celebrate the life of Rozella will be held at 1:00 p.m. Monday, October 3, 2011 at Moran & Goebel Funeral Home. Interment will take place at Old Stonington Cemetery. In lieu of flowers the family request that memorial contributions be directed to the Hickory Point Christian Village or to the charity of the donor’s choice.
Rozella was born February 2, 1919 in Taylorville, Illinois the daughter of Otto and Ruth Kurfiss Silveus. Rozella was a long time member of the Wabash Association, and life long member of Allied Industrial Workers. She retired from Borg Warner in Decatur. She married William Harold Estell on February 22, 1936 he preceded her in death in 1994.
She is survived by her son William L. Vivian Estell of Forsyth; grandchildren, Carey Jeff Gaede, and Carmen Jason Turigliatti, and great-grandchildren, Hannah, Logan, and Madalyn, brother-in-law, Henry “Frosty” Maxine Estell , and sister-in-law, Lois Moore, and many nieces and nephews.
Rozella was preceded in death by her husband, parents, and one brother Rodell.
The family of Rozella Estell has entrusted the care of their loved one to Moran & Goebel Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 2801 N Monroe Street, Decatur, Illinois 62526.
The family would like to thank the staff at Hickory Point Christian Village for all the care and kindness they showed Rozella.
