Russell William Leonard's Obituary
Russell William Leonard 80 of Decatur died Wednesday October 17, 2007 in Decatur Memorial Hospital.
Funeral Services will be 11:00 am Monday October 22, 2007 in Moran & Goebel Funeral Home. Visitation will be one hour before services. Burial will be in Macon Cemetery with Military honors conducted by the Macon County Honor Guard. Memorials can be made to the family.
Russell was born on March 8, 1927 in Brownstown, IL the son of Ira and Irma Elam Leonard. He was a member of Bethel Bible Church. He was retired from Coca Cola Bottling Company. Russell served his country proudly in the U.S. Army Air Corps. He married Rosemary Myers on January 10, 1946 in Taylorville, IL.
Surviving are his wife, Rosemary, sons, Robert W. Leonard Vickie of Salem; Dean Leonard Millie of Decatur; daughter, Judy Ann Smith Houston of Decatur, seven grandchildren, and fourteen great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, one son, David A. Leonard, one sister, Doris Hill, one brother, Raymond S. Leonard, and one step-brother Lynn Delaney.
