Ruth was such a wonderful person. It was a privilege to have known her and her family during my years as Minister of Music at Grace Church, Decatur. Sincerest sympathies to all her family. Alice, we were in San Antonio in May. Blessings to all of you.
So very sorry to learn of Ruth’s passing. Many years ago, she did beautiful watercolors of our three dogs and another one of our beloved little ferret. I have the large watercolor of the dogs hanging in our den. She did such a wonderful job of portraying the personality of each dog. It is a treasure I will always cherish. My memory escapes me, but Ruth had a sister who lived with her daughter Nancy in Gurnee, and her name was Helen Hayner. Helen was a very close friend to my Mom, which is how I met Ruth. I see there are no surviving siblings so when did Helen pass away? Again, so sorry about your Mom..she was such a sweet and gifted woman. Becky Holman Lohnes
