Ruth Fear's Obituary
Charlotte Ruth Fear, 92, of Forsyth, passed away Monday, November 15, 2021 at Hickory Point Christian Village.
Ruth was born in Ste. Marie, Illinois, on August 25, 1929, the daughter of Jerome and Mary (Litzelman) Maginn. She married Paul Wayne Fear on October 3, 1953 in Ste. Marie. She was a homemaker who loved taking care of her family, especially by cooking and baking delicious food. Ruth was an original member of the Forsyth Library Board. Ruth and Paul were proud charter members of Our Lady of Lourdes Parish in Decatur.
Ruth is survived by her children Janet Greene of Forsyth, Jerry (Becky) Fear of Warrensburg, and Lori (Martin) Seaberg of Forsyth; siblings Evelyn Parisot, Joe (Mary Lu) Maginn, Silvin (Addie Jo) Maginn, and Rose Wetzel; grandchildren Cassie Fear, Jeremy Fear, Rachael (Chris) Fletcher, and Christopher (Kristan) Fear; and great-granddaughter Mackenzie. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; son Steven Fear; and siblings Anita Busald, Harry Maginn, Mary Weber, and Donald Maginn.
Ruth’s family would like to express sincere and heartfelt thanks to everyone on staff at Hickory Point Christian Village for their loving, kind, and compassionate care for Ruth. The attentive care of the office, maintenance, housekeeping, kitchen, and nursing personnel throughout her stay was a great comfort to the family.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00am on Friday, November 19 at Our Lady of Lourdes Church. Visitation will be prior to the Mass from 9:00 to 10:00am. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery in Illiopolis. Memorials may be directed to Special Olympics, Honor Flights, or donor's choice.
