Ruth Lavonne Gentry's Obituary
Ruth Lavonne Stout Gentry, 68, of Decatur died Sunday, September 12, 2010 in her home.
Ruth was born in Pana on May 21, 1942 the daughter of Albert L. and Helen Mae Stivers Stout Sr. She worked as a waitress for Paul’s Confectionery and other Restaurants. She was an avid Bingo player and was affiliated with Salem Baptist Church.
Surviving is her brother, Albert L. “Bud” Stout Jr. of Decatur; sisters, Madona Groves of Decatur; and Evelyn Harris Bob of Mt. Zion; nieces: Debra Byers, Diane Childress and Pamela Groves; nephews: Curtis Groves and Steven Webb and many friends.
Funeral service celebrating Ruth’s life will be 11:00 am Friday, September 17, 2010 in Moran & Goebel Funeral Home with Pastor Gerald Thompson officiating. The family request casual attire. Visitation will be one hour prior to service. Burial will be in Macon County Memorial Park. Memorials are suggested to the American Heart Association.
Ruth was preceded in death by her parents.
