Ruth Ann Young's Obituary
Decatur-Ruth Ann Young, 71, of Decatur, passed away Monday, September 2, 2013 in St. Mary’s Hospital.
She was born April 2, 1942 in Decatur, IL, to Earl Franklin and Ada Pearl (Taylor) Gordon. She was previously employed as a paralegal and legal secretary to W. M. Faber, LLC and previously to the Honorable Judge John Graenias for Macon County. She enjoyed country dancing, reading, and collecting Angels. She married James Dean Rude on Aug 11, 1959 in Decatur, IL. He preceded her in death on Oct 17, 2002. She then married Larry Kenneth Young on July 2, 1990.
She leaves behind her husband Larry, children, Joquette Danese (Rude) Aranda of East Peoria, IL and Jana Dee (Rude) Yust of Goodman, MO, six grandchildren: Rhys Joquette Wolszon, Farren Ann Yust, Laurren Marie (Yust) Waddell, Jammie Brianne (Yust) Luetkemeyer, Brennan K Yust, and Taven J Yust, six great-grandchildren: Dominic J Wolszon, Brylan K Yust, Zakai K Yust, Zaylen K Yust, Bailey J Waddell, and Davie C Yust, and three siblings: Fred F Gordon, Robert E Gordon, and Patricia L Johnson.
She was preceded in death by her parents and first husband.
She was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother that will be greatly missed.
Services to celebrate Ruth’s life will be 11 a.m. Saturday, September 7, 2013 at Moran & Goebel Funeral Home. Visitation will be for one hour prior to the services at the funeral home. Burial will be in Macon County Memorial Park. Memorials may be directed to the Prairie Heart Institute.
