Sadie Beatrice Currin 94, of Decatur went to be with the Lord at 12:30 pm Saturday January 01, 2005 in Lincoln Manor.
Homegoing services will be 11 am Saturday January 08, 2005 in New Salem Missionary Baptist Church with Rev. Tyrone Oldham officiating, where visitation will be one hour before services. Burial will immediately follow in Greenwood Cemetery. The family has entrusted Moran & Goebel Funeral Home in assisting the family with these arrangements. Sadie was born in Caruthersville, MO on March 25, 1910 the daughter of Oscar and Mattie Green Currin, Sr. She was an active long time member of New Salem Missionary Baptist Church.
Sadie leaves behind not to mourn but to cherish fond memories; her daughter; Barbara Jean Currin of Decatur; her grandchildren, Barbara Parker and husband Danny of Naperville and Gary Allen Currin of Decatur; a host great grandchildren and other family members.
Sadie was preceded in death by her parents, one Brother; Oscar Currin, Jr.; two granddaughters Jean Lynette Currin and Debra Renee Briggs.
The family of Sadie would like to extend a special thank you to the staff of Lincoln Manor for all the loving compassionate care she received while a resident there.
