Sally was managing Nino's Restaurant when I worked there as a busboy in the late 70's. This was my first job (other than a paper route) and I am honored to have worked with her. She was a really good boss and a very kind person. May she rest with the Good Lord! --Joe C.
Thanks for providing a photo and reference that Ronny and Johnny (as my family remembers them) were still in her life. I see that she was as beautiful as her mother. I hadn't seen Sally since our pre-school / kindergarten days as neighbors in Decatur, even though we attempted to find her at the apartments during our auto trip down memory lane. I'm sorry to hear that the challenging aspects of their early life continued into her teen years and beyond. May all be at peace.
I have Known Sally for many years . Each time I would see her out and about we would have the best talks. She was a very sweet gal & I know those who knew her would agree. We will miss her smile & fun talks.
I am so sad to hear of Sally's passing. I knew her from the apartments where she lived. She would come down to the pool when I was working where we would chat about everything! She was such a sweet, caring person and I will really miss her! Deepest sympathy to her family!
I am very sadden to hear that Sally has passed away. I reconnected with her when I worked at Talbots and I loved helping her pick out her clothes. She is my cousin from her mothers side and it made me so happy to get to share our memories together. I had just received in the mail the Ochs family album and was going to share it with her because she mentioned wanting to see pictures of her mother. At the age of 12 years old SALLY had no choice but to raise herself in an unimaginable difficult and troubled environment . SALLY did her best . I love SALLY so much and will always think of SALLY with so much love in my mind and heart . SALLY was so beautiful and she is now with MOM and DAD and oh so very , very happy and peaceful . I grew up in The Elms with Sally and the Morford family.Sally let me practice creating hairstyles on her full head of hair..in High School days.We enjoyed music and fun growing up one block apart. She managed Tom's Grill for her father ..Tom Morford…..enjoyed working with Miles Chevrolet and Catholic Charities.We sat one row apart at Sunday Mass @ St.Thomas Catholic Church up to the last mass Sally could attend.Sally always shared a wonderful laugh at the smallest inclination.
