Sandra K. Hobbs 59 of Decatur passed away at 11:05 am on Monday April 18, 2005 in her home.
Memorial funeral services will be held 7 P.M. Wednesday April 27, 2005 in Moran & Goebel Funeral Home, where Elder Mike Buchen will officiate. Inurnment of cremains will be at a later date. Sandra was born in Morris on August 24, 1945, the daughter of Carl and Nadine Genzel Johnson. She worked as a cashier for Kroger’s for many years. She was a member of Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. Sandra enjoyed playing Bingo. She married Kenneth Hobbs on October 03, 1960 in Joliet, he survives.
Also surviving include; her sons, Anthony “Tony” Hobbs, Sr. and wife Angela of Decatur, Kenneth, Jr. and wife Linda of Alton; daughter, Amy Diggs of Decatur; her sister, Alice. 18 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren; many nieces and nephews.
Sandra was preceded in death by her parents, 2 sisters, 2 daughters, Pamela Groves and Beth Ann Roof, 1 grand daughter, and 1 great granddaughter
