Sandra Joan Kornewald, 84, of Decatur, IL, passed away at 2:44 P.M. on Tuesday (03-10-2026) at Decatur Memorial Hospital.
Sandra was born on March 16, 1941, in Decatur, IL, the daughter of William Arthur Lowry and Dorothy Isabelle (Coleman) Lowry.
Sandra enjoyed reading, playing Scrabble, and spending time with all of her family.
She is survived by her children: Charles Arthur Kornewald, Jr, and wife Yelena of Decatur, IL; Cheryl Lynn List of Decatur, IL; Margaret “ Marcie” Lee Rose Holeman and husband Doug of Decatur, IL; Kelly Eugene Kornewald of Arthur, IL; Angela Lane Sutton of Winston-Salem, NC; and Raven Marie Durbin of Decatur, IL; grandchildren: Brooklyn, Milyshia, Rayshawn, Dakota, Emily, Vikki, Landon, and Kody; great-grandchildren: Keegan and Rayshawn, Jr.
Sandra was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers: Bill, Jim, and Phil, and grandson Timothy Karl.
