Sharon Elaine Blazer's Obituary
Sharon Elaine Blazer went to her Heavenly home Oct 3, 2024. She was born to John Snyder and Wilma (Walker) Snyder on April 8, 1945. She grew up with her 3 brothers John (Sonny), David, and Edward. She was a loyal 1963 Graduate of Lakeview High School. GO SPARTANS. She married Evertt Joseph Blazer in the mid 60's when he returned from USMC.
She formerly worked as a research assistant for Bear Hybrid of Harristown and Maui Hawaii, as a Travel Agent, and an accomplished sales rep of medical supplies for Zee Medical for Central Illinois Region. Member Decatur Camera Club.
Sharon loved and trusted the Lord, taught Sunday school and created costumes for multiple church plays. She was an accomplished seamstress, an avid flower and plant enthusiast with an extraordinary green thumb. She developed an eye for picture taking and produced many prints which have been on display at Rocks Springs Art Gallery, Camera Club at Downtown Decatur Art Show, and Decatur area businesses.
She had a love for wildlife and nature and fed stray cats, racoons, deer and certainly worried about their well-being. She captivated the life of her grand puppy and Echo’s 9 Siberian husky puppies. She published a children’s book, "Hey It's Me Echo”, composed of her photos and her imaginary story of Echo’s antics.
Sharon was compassionate about family genealogy, and she spent countless hours researching both sides of her family and printing family trees. She supported St Cabrina Native American Children.
She is survived by her son Kurtis (Carla), brothers John (Sandy) and Eddie (Kim), sister-in-law Judy Snyder, nieces and nephews, Kimmy Sue Bowles (David), Kent (Michelle), Suzanne, Teresa (Randy) Miller, Carol (Ralph) French, John Paul (Kim), Matthew (Aleshia), Mark (Rhonda), and Laurie (Randall) Edwards, Hollie, Heather and Hilary Opal. Preceded in death by her parents, brother David Snyder and sister-in-law Judith (Judy) Snyder. Cremation Rites were performed. A Celebration of Life is being planned for a later date.
