Sharon L. Campbell's Obituary
God welcomed Sharon Campbell, 63, to his garden on March 29, 2012.
She was born October 28, 1948 in Decatur, the daughter of Chester and Lois DeLaney Mars.
Sharon was a homemaker, volunteer, former employee, and parishioner of Our Lady of Lourdes.
She loved flowers, gardening, hummingbirds, traveling with her husband, and living life to the fullest. She had a heart of gold, never met a stranger, and gave anything and everything she had to help anyone. She will be deeply missed and always be remembered by her family and friend.
She married the love of her life, Scotty Campbell, on December 6th, 1969.
She is survived by her loving husband Scotty, her daughter, Chrissy Copeland Jason of Decatur, granddaughter, Whitney Copeland, twin sister, Karen Smith of Decatur, brother, Gary Mars Donna of Long Creek, brother, Joe Mars Pat of Decatur, sister, Brenda Wilderman Kenny of Moweaqua, and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, sister, Diana Mars, and her grandson.
The family will receive friends Monday, April 2, 2012 from 5 to 7 pm in the Moran & Goebel Funeral Home; vigil prayer service at 4:30 pm. Mass of Christian Burial celebrating her life will be 10 am Tuesday, April 3, 2012 in Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, Rev. Richard Weltin celebrant. Memorials: St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
The family would like to thank Dr. Guaglianone, his wonderful staff and nurses at Cancer Care Specialists, Dr. Maibenco and his staff at Surgical Specialists, Julie and Carla at St. Mary’s Wound Care Clinic, and family physician Dr. Scribner and staff.
