Sharon Lee Lowe's Obituary
Sharon Lee Lowe, 69, of Decatur, passed away Sunday, May 14, 2017 in Decatur Memorial Hospital.
Sharon was born February 22, 1948 in Decatur, Illinois, the daughter of Donald and Charlene (Schwartz) Harshbarger. She worked for many years as the courtesy van driver for Bob Ridings. She married Gary Lowe on August 12, 1965. They had four children Tina, Gary Jr., Angie, and Pam. They were later divorced. She then married the love of her life Larry Lowe on April 15, 1984.
Sharon leaves behind her son Gary Lowe, daughters Tina Scheibly (Kevin), Angie Mashburn (Jason), and Pam Rigsby (Jeremy), grandchildren Zach, Kevin, Kory, Jake, Kyle, Jacob, Kaylee, Kelsey, Jacob, Jason, and Kalah, great-grandchildren Quynten, Trey, Tanner, Bella, Rosalie, and Dax, sisters Kathy Gibbons (Bob) and Nancy Sunderland, uncle Richard Harshbarger (Shirley), nephews Matt Sunderland (Stormy) and Tim Sunderland (Deyna), and best friends Claire Reid and Jeanne Absher.
Sharon was preceded in death by her parents, husbands, brothers Donnie and Billy Jo Harshbarger, and nephew Shane.
Our mother did everything for her children and grandchildren. She had a kind heart and we loved to hear her laughter. She could always make you smile. We can’t imagine life without her. Yet we know she is out of pain. That brings us comfort. She is so missed! Mom, we love you with all our hearts!
Services to celebrate Sharon’s life will be 10:00 AM Friday, May 19, 2017 at Camp Wilson Foursquare Church, 7570 W Main St, Decatur, with Pastor Brian Canaday officiating. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 PM Thursday, May 18, 2017 at the church. Burial will follow in Harristown Cemetery.
