Sherlene Goodman's Obituary
Decatur – Sherlene Goodman, 63, of Decatur, passed from this life Tuesday, September 19, 2017, in St. John’s Hospital, Springfield, IL.
Sherlene was born October 29, 1953, in Brownsville, TN, the daughter of Joe G. and Emma Sue (Williams) Taylor. She was a member of Trinity C.M.E. Church and worked in the cafeteria at Millikin University. Sherlene married Lee Albert Goodman in 1980.
Left not to mourn, but to cherish fond memories are her husband, Lee of Decatur; sons: James Earl Taylor, Arbert Evay Goodman and Lemark Rashawn Goodman all of Decatur; grandchildren: Jasma Sherrea Taylor and Jimeka Louise Owens; great grandchildren: Jaylen Mykhel Strayhorn, Jaleah My’Lei Strayhorn, Jordyn Leiann McClain, Jakaila Michelle Taylor, Jaionna Monae Taylor and Jayceon Lewis Wilder; siblings: Mary Boyd of Memphis, TN, Monie Wills of Decatur, Jossie Grant of Beloit, WI, Odelia Parker, Joe E. Taylor, Joyce Taylor, and Linda Perkins all of Decatur; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Sherlene was preceded in death by her parents.
Homegoing services to celebrate Sherlene’s life will be 11 am, Saturday, September 30, 2017, in the Moran & Goebel Funeral Home; visitation will be one hour prior to the service. Burial will take place in Greenwood Cemetery.
