Sherman Lee Watts' Obituary
Sherman Lee Watts, 31, of Decatur, IL, passed away February 25, 2021 at Decatur Memorial Hospital.
Sherman was born April 13, 1989 in Chicago, IL, the son of Sherman Yearby and Michelle Watts. He attended MacArthur High School and was employed for the past two years at Taco Bell and KFC, for 12 years prior to that.
He attended GT Church and was an amazing, loving, and devoted father of four daughters. He was a very caring and big-hearted person who enjoyed laughing and spending time with family and friends. He loved to travel, see the ocean, write poems, and listen to music.
Sherman is survived by his life companion, Racheal Weaber, daughters, Alexsus Watts, Amiyah Watts, Mikayla Watts, and Mariyah Watts, all of Decatur, IL; mother, Michelle Watts; siblings, Latisha West, Sherwin Yearby, Sherron Yearby, Shane Yearby all of Chicago; aunt, Anissa Grant, aunt, Blinda Brown and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his father, Sherman Yearby; grandparents, Richard and Jackie Watts; uncle, Richard “June” Watts Jr., and cousins, Keywon and Keyon Berry.
Funeral service will be 6:00 PM, Saturday, March 6, 2021 at Moran and Goebel Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 4:00 PM – 6:00 PM Saturday at the funeral home. Cremation will follow.
