Sherry Shelett Latson's Obituary
Sherry Shelett Latson, 56, of Decatur, passed away on Monday, September 23, 2024 at Decatur Memorial.
She was a daughter of Guster Bond Latson and the late Ralph Latson. She was raised in the church and attended Greater Northside Baptist Church in her younger days.
Sherry was creative and loved to do hair and draw as well as cooking and spending time with her grandkids. She loved shopping no matter what she was shopping for, and she also liked to take time to travel.
In addition to her father, Sherry is preceded in death by one brother, Gregory Latson, and one grandchild, Todd Baltimore Jr.
Alongside her mother, those left to cherish her memory include: two sons, Demario Latson and Sam Latson; three daughters, Jeneyaka Hicks, Janisha Latson, and Sammiah Latson; five brothers, Calvin Graves, Stevenson Latson, Jerry Latson and wife Shanelle, Carlos Latson and wife LaZania; one sister, Ronda Young and husband Eddie; nineteen grandchildren; a host of nieces and nephews, including special niece LaKiara Latson; special friend, Lemmie Phillips; and best friend, Carolyn Foster.
The family of Sherry Latson will receive friends from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm on Friday, October 4, 2024, at Moran & Goebel Funeral Home. Homegoing celebration to be held at 11:00 am the following day, Saturday, October 5th, at Greater Northside Baptist Church under the direction of Reverend Jimmy Waddell.
