Stanley "Bones" Williams' Obituary
Decatur-Stanley M. “Bones” Williams, 66, of Decatur passed away on Thursday, April 2, 2015 at McKinley Court in Decatur with his family by his side.
Stanley was born October 8, 1948 in Danville, Illinois, the son of Donald “Spider” and Marilyn (Thornton) Williams. He was employed as a cart attendant at Walmart North with thirteen years of service. He enjoyed playing softball and all types of cars and trucks. Stanley loved to talk and meet new people.
Stanley leaves behind his daughters Laura Williams and partner Cricket Miller of Decatur and Tylena Williams of Decatur, mother Marilyn Williams of Blue Mound, sisters Dana Beshears and husband David of Boody and Melodie Cunningham and husband Kent of Moweaqua, and best friend Wayne Kater.
Stanley was preceded in death by his father, sister Rose Anne Williams, and good friend Thomas Nice.
The family would like to give a special thanks to Stanley’s family at Walmart North, Dr. Esparaz and the nurses and staff at Cancer Care, and the nurses and staff with McKinley Court and DMH Hospice for all of their loving care and support.
Services to celebrate Stanley’s life will be 10 a.m. Tuesday, April 7, 2015 at Moran & Goebel Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Monday, April 6, 2015 at the funeral home. Memorials are suggested to the American Cancer Society.
