Steven D. Crawford's Obituary
Steven D. Crawford, Sr., 55, of Decatur, died February 25, 2009.
Service will be 10:00 am Tuesday, March 3, 2009 in St. John’s Lutheran Church, with Pastor Russell J. Weiss officiating. Visitation will be Monday, March 2, from 6 – 8 pm in Moran & Goebel Funeral Home. Burial will take place in St. John’s Lutheran Cemetery. Memorials may be made in his honor to the Northeast Community Fund, 825 N. Water, Decatur, IL, 62523.
Steven was born July 26, 1953 in St. Louis, MO. He loved cars. He loved working on them and watching car races. He loved the opportunity to go to the races when he could. At home, he enjoyed cooking out and spending time with his family. He helped anybody out that he could, and was always looking for work to do.
He will be dearly missed by his parents, Tom and Marlene Crawford; his loving wife, Joann; ten children, Michelle Crowe Oscar; Jennifer Patwitz Mark; Sarah Thornell; Adrian Kloepping; Rachel Kloepping Nick Thornell; Keith Smith Emily; Tori Smith; Pam Smith Sam Ellis; Steven D. Crawford, Jr.; Tracy Anderson; sixteen grandchildren; one brother, Ray Crawford Carol; two sisters, Carol Story Tony; Sharon Crawford; several nieces and nephews; and a very close family friend, Jeff Lofland.
He was preceded in death by one granddaughter, Shelby Patwitz.
The family of Steven D. Crawford, Sr. is being served by Moran & Goebel Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 2801 N. Monroe Street.
