Steven Davis Rusk's Obituary
Steven Davis Rusk, 79, of Sullivan, Illinois, passed away at 8:29 P.M. on Sunday (05-10-2026) at Carle Hospital, Urbana, Illinois.
Steven was born on January 24, 1947, in Decatur, Illinois, the son of Edward Taylor Rusk and Ruth (Davis) Rusk.
Steven served his country in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. He worked for the State of Illinois Unemployment Office for 40 years.
He is survived by his life partner Beatrice Miller of Nevada; cousins: Kathy Reitzel of Decatur, Illinois; Susan Plies of Texas; Bob Walker of Missouri; and Nancy Crawford of California.
Steven was preceded in death by his parents.
A Graveside service will be held at 11:00 A.M. Thursday (05-21-2026) at Fairlawn Cemetery, Decatur, Illinois, with military rites conducted by the Macon County Honor Guard.
