Susan Kuizin's Obituary
Susan Carol Kuizin, beloved wife, Mom, Grandma, Nana, sister, and friend went to be with the Lord surrounded by her loved ones on May 6, 2026.
Susan was born on May 27, 1961, in Indianapolis. She spent much of her childhood in Salinas, CA, before moving to Illinois in 1992. It was there that she met and formed a lifelong friendship with Marcy, who later introduced Susan to her brother, Tom—the love of her life. Together, they built a beautiful life centered around love, family, and raising their children. Through every season of life, they remained devoted to one another and to the family they cherished so deeply.
Susan was preceded in death by her grandparents, parents, sister Kim, and her beloved sister Tracy.
She is survived by her loving husband, Tom Kuizin; her children, Bridget (Josh) Kusturin, Tommy (Megan) Jones, Cassandra Kuizin, and Tracy (Maddison) Kuizin; granddaughter, Kayla Jones, and her treasured great-grandsons, Mason and Leo; sister-in-law Marcy Barnard and brother-in-law Jim (John) Kuizin.
Susan found joy in life's simple pleasures. She loved fishing, puzzles, camping, and spending time with her family, especially her great-grandsons. Life wasn't always easy but she always persisted. She had a warm spirit, loving heart, and a strong desire to help the people she loved. Her love and presence will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
A private graveside service will be held for family. A celebration of Susan's life will be planned at a later date.
