Suzanne Daugherty's Obituary
Suzanne Daugherty 73 of Warrensburg died Thursday March 6, 2008 in her home.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10:00 am Monday in Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church with Rev. Richard Weltin as Celebrant. Visitation will be 4:00 ' 6:00 pm Sunday in Moran & Goebel Funeral Home with a Vigil Prayer Service at 6:00 pm. Private family burial will be in Illini Cemetery. Memorial gifts are suggested to Barclay Library or Warrensburg Fire Department.
Suzanne was born on May 13, 1934 in Belleville, IL the daughter of John and Helen Stoher Keck. She was a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church. She worked as a school bus driver for the Warrensburg school district for many years. She was very active in the community and served as librarian at the Barclay library in Warrensburg. She enjoyed many craft projects including cooking, sewing, stained glass work, needlework, and painting. She always looked forward to the activities of her Red Hat Society. She was blessed with many good friends and a loving family. She married Homer Daugherty in 1957 in St. James Catholic Church.
Surviving are her husband Homer, children, Daniel Daugherty Joann of Warrensburg; Mathew Daugherty Laura of O’Fallon, MO; Hugh Daugherty Julie Stoughton, WI; Heather Daugherty of Decatur; sisters, Yvonne Holman Gary of Melvern, PA; Annette Long Lud of Big Sky, MT; Kristine Williams of Decatur; grandchildren, Dana, Suzanne, Jeremy, Tara, Nathan; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, granddaughter, Maria, and father and mother-in-law Homer and Evelyn Daugherty.
