Tanisia "Chi Chi" Shaw 29 of Decatur, IL left this world for a better place on Thursday November 20, 2003 in her home.
Homegoing services will be noon Wednesday November 26, 2003 in Love Fellowship Christian Church with the Rev. James Wills officiating. Visitation will be 6-8:00 pm Tuesday in Moran & Goebel Funeral Home. Burial will be in the Greenwood Cemetery. Condolences may be made to the family at www.moranandgoebel.com.
Chi Chi was born on August 10, 1974 in Decatur, IL. She was the daughter of the late Margaret Shaw and Freddie Springfield of Decatur, IL. She was a dedicated member of Love Fellowship Christian Church.
She leaves not to mourn but to cherish fond memories her father Freddie Springfield of Decatur; Adoptive mother Renee Hawkins of Decatur; sons, Hikeem Shaw of Cape Girardeau, MO; and Ja'Tyrin Matthews of Decatur; daughters, Hymesha Johnson and Aniya Shaw both of Decatur; brothers, Hebert Angie Shaw, Jr. of Nashville, TN; Tyrise Hawkins of Indianapolis, IN; and Montario Hawkins of Decatur; sisters, Yolanda Billy Woodard, Ichiko Walker, Ninfa Hawkins, and Sharonda Hyder all of Decatur; and Chalan Cunningham of Houston, TX; special friend Anthony Rogers of Decatur; aunts and uncles, Sharonda Wright of Decatur; Anna Warren of Brownsville, TN; Dorothy Harry Sanford of Brownsville, TN; Moe Deberry of Alabama, Booker T. Jeanamae Springfield of Brownsville, TN; John Diane Williams of Brownsville, TN; Isaac Joyce Springfield of Decatur; Alphonso Ivy of Brownsville, TN; Floyd Wright of Brownsville, TN; Alonzo Wheeler of Decatur; James Wheeler of Decatur; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Her mother, grandparents, three aunts, one uncle, two nieces, and one nephew preceded her in death.
