Teresa Clark's Obituary
Teresa “Pig” Clark, departed this current life Monday August 21, 2017 and entered Eternal Life. Teresa was born in 1951 in Halls Tennessee, the daughter of Willie and Dorothy (Hudson) Love. She gave her life to Jesus at an early age and completed her early education in Halls, but relocated to Decatur Illinois, where she began her High School years and graduated from Stephen Decatur High. Teresa became known as the Seamstress of Decatur, which if you were having a wedding, needing an outfit or even Church choir robes, she was the one many turned to. She followed her love for sewing as she secured a job at Aramark Uniforms, as a seamstress. Teresa met her loving and lifelong husband Edwin Lee Clark and was married on November 22, 1980. She resumed her love for sewing as she landed a job at the Bachrach’s warehouse and spent many faithful years there, until she decided to open-up a home daycare. Amid family life, Teresa rededicated her life to Jesus and began singing in the choir at Northside Baptist church, then on to New Life Church of God where she served the Lord faithfully as a Sunday School teacher, Usher Board member and even did some cooking at and for the church, which she loved, until her health began to fail. Anyone who knows Teresa knew the door to her home was always open for anyone to drop by and knew they were always welcomed there. Teresa leaves behind to cherish her in Loving Memories: her parents Willie and Dorothy (Hudson) Love, sister, Beulah (Perkins) Johnson. Sons Adrian (Tasha) Walker, and Edwin Shawnta Clark and daughter Brittany Clark. She also leaves Grandchildren who love here dearly, Brandon, Ryan (Laci), Dean (Sherrie), Jasmine, Ashanti, Adrian and Mariah. Aunties, Several Great Grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins. Teresa also obtained a couple of life sisters Sam and Pat, and a Godson LaMarcus. She was preceded in death by her loving Grandparents, which Teresa had a special bond.
