Kathy, John, Matt, Amberlee, Kaleb, Ella, Ryan, Marley, Noah and Griffin,
My heart breaks for all of you. I am extremely thankful for her faith. I personally can't wait for the large family reunion in heaven. I can imagine hearing your mom's laughter prior to seeing her. We will see her glowing face, which displays one of the most beautiful smiles this world has ever seen.
Cancer had taken away so much of who she was as a mother, grandmother and friend. I pray that it comforts you, knowing that she is now in a new and forevermore healthy body. She fought hard and long to stay with all of you. She loved her family, and life. Your grandmother especially loved being a steward for others, whether they were her children, grandchildren, friends or a stranger. She was always on the go helping others. She was a perfect role model when it came to making others smile. She didn't save her smiles, laughter, wit, talent and love for just her family, friends or acquaintances. She shared these attributes with strangers. She was present on the worst day of my life, as she was for so many others. She was always, always there whenever she was needed. Kaleb, you are the strongest fighter of the family. She always spoke of her concern of not being present for you when you need her. This same concern was for all of her family. Keep the memories close to your heart so you can pass them down to the next generation.
The world didn't stop as it should have the day she left us. However, many people will continue to carry with them the memory of the day their heart was touched by a kind woman.
The Lord has healed one of the most special women in my life that I still have the privilege of calling my Aunt Tee Dee. For that, I am eternally filled with gratitude.
I am so disappointed that I am not able to attend the services for her. I will greatly miss giving hugs and love to each of you. I love you, cousins.
With all my love and sympathy,
Dee Dee and Rick
