Thelma C. Siefert, 94, of Decatur, died on Monday, Jan. 24, 2005 at Imboden Creek Living Center.
Mass of the Resurrection celebrating her life will be 11 a.m. Fri. Jan 28, 2005 in St. James Catholic Church, Fr. Joe Molloy celebrant. Moran & Goebel Funeral Home is assisting the family with the arrangements. Visitation will be one hour before services in the church. Burial will be in Macon Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to: St. James Catholic Church or Donor's Choice.
Thelma was born on July 30, 1910 in Jasper MI, the daughter of Joseph & Celia Moser Despres. She retired from General Motors Acceptance Corp. after 36 years of service. Thelma was a member of St. James Catholic Church, St. Mary's Hospital Auxiliary, Catholic Daughters of America, Ladies of the Elks Lodge #401, Kiwanianne Club and Delta Theta Tau Sorority. She loved to travel and had the opportunity to visit several foreign countries. Thelma married Fred Siefert on May 8, 1965 in Decatur and he preceded her in death on Feb. 7, 1971
Surviving is her sister, Helen Lampe of Ft. Madison, IA; step-daughter, Levora Egermayer of Henderson, NV; two step-grandsons; one step-great grandson; many nieces and nephews.
Her parents; brothers: Floyd, Frank and Roy Despres; sister, Geraldine Borg and special friend Byron May preceded her in death.
