Theresa Lucille Kasmer's Obituary
Theresa L. Kasmer, 86, of Decatur, formerly of Binghamton, NY, died suddenly on Wednesday, September 5, 2012 in Decatur Memorial Hospital.
Theresa was born January 7, 1926 in Binghamton, NY, the daughter of John and Victoria (Obrepski) Drankoski. She was a past member of St. James Catholic Church in Johnson City, NY, and St. Stanislaus Kostka Catholic Church in Binghamton, NY, where she was a member of the Rosary Society and the Legion of Mary. Theresa married Peter Paul Kasmer April 7, 1956 in Binghamton, NY, and he preceded her in death on November 25, 2009. Also preceding her in death were her parents, brothers: Bill, John, Fred, and Charles; sisters: Lucy, Wanda, and Eva Mary.
Surviving is her daughters: Sharon Ann and husband Jerry Follis of Decatur, and Patricia and husband Jim Benner of River Oaks, TX; grandchildren: Justin Follis, Kristin and husband, Bill Lacey, Crystal and husband, Jeff Shepherd, Deana and husband Spencer Pickrell, and James Benner, USAF; great grandchildren, Bailey Benner, Landon and Chesney Pickrell, Larique and Phillip Shepherd, and Aubrey Benner.
Mass of Christian Burial celebrating her life will be 11 am Monday, September 10, 2012 in Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church; visitation one hour prior to the mass in the church. Burial will follow in Camp Butler National Cemetery, Riverton, IL. Memorials gifts may be given to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
