Thomas L. Adams' Obituary
Thomas L. Adams 75 of Decatur died Saturday November 17, 2007 at home, after a long battle with emphysema.
A memorial service celebrating Thomas's life is planned for 5:30 pm Friday November 23, 2007 in Morning Side Chapel Church of Christ 1212 S. 34th Street, Decatur.
Thomas was born in Decatur the son of Thomas and Letha B. Spencer Adams Sr. He was a Korean War Army Veteran and worked at St. Mary's Hospital for 31 years. He retired in 1993. He married Janet Grennan on August 27, 1974.
Tom was a strong man and a hard worker. He enjoyed his family and yard work. He loved to joke and laugh. He was a devoted and loyal husband and father. He will be missed greatly by those he leaves behind.
He is survived by his wife Janet, sister, Shirley, children: Ginger Johnson Chad, Peggy Neilson Jerry, Pam Neibuhr, Patrick Adams, and Phil Adams, stepchildren: Thomas Harris Jamie McQueen, Laura Krull Gerald, and Tammy Williams Troy. He also has several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his parents, sister, and three grandchildren.
