Thomas Hugh Hunter's Obituary
Thomas was born in Decatur on March 02, 1951 the son of Selby J. and Alma L. Gates Hunter. He was a 1969 graduate of MacArthur High School, former State Certified Umpire with Hess Park Baseball League. Thomas was currently employed at Walmart North in Decatur, previously he had worked at Borg-Warner, ADM Trucking, and Seno Formal Wear. He loved to fish, paint, draw, and spend time with family and friends. He will be greatly missed and loved always.
Surviving are his father, Selby of Decatur; brothers: Stephen of Los Angeles, CA.; James of Decatur; sister, Louisa of Decatur; fiancee’ Gloria Kretsinger and sons, John ”Wes” Kretsinger of Decatur; Jarrod Krall and Jeremy Krall of Warrensburg; niece, Tina Thompson of Decatur; two great nephews, one great niece, extended family and many friends.
His mother, maternal and paternal grandparents preceded him in death.
The family would like to express our most sincere gratitude to Drs. Mario Velasco, Renata Moore, John Furry, and Nancy Zutshi, as well as all of those who gave of their time and of themselves through a very difficult year. To all our friends and the many employees of Walmart North, your kindness has been appreciated more than words can ever say. Thank you, to all of you, for your love and prayers.
