Thomas Charles Radley's Obituary
Thomas Charles Radley, 79, of Decatur passed away Tuesday, May 28, 2013 in St. Mary’s Hospital.
Tom was born May 23, 1934 in Effingham, IL, the son of Charles Radley and Grace Brosius. He proudly served in the Naval Reserves, and later worked as a pipefitter and retired from A.E. Staley Manufacturing Company after 37 years. In his spare time he enjoyed square dancing, fishing, camping, building homes, bowling, and he loved traveling and making trips to Disney with his family. He married Alvira Mae on June 22, 1954 in Decatur, IL.
Tom leaves behind to cherish his memory his wife, Alvira; son, Jerry Radley and wife Lisa of Decatur, IL; brother, Donny Radley and wife Jeanie of Westminster, PA; grandchildren, Erin Alderson and husband Brandon, Kristin Drollinger and husband Brett, Megan Romano and husband Ben, Alicia Leefers and husband Matt, Ryan Bennett, Jordan Bennet; and seven loving great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Virgil Perkins; and Grandma and Grandpa Perkins.
Family will receive friends to celebrate Tom’s life from 10 – 12 p.m. Saturday, June 1, 2013 at Moran & Goebel Funeral Home.
