Timothy Brackett's Obituary
Timothy Jack Brackett, 66, of Oakley, IL went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, June 13, 2021 at his home surrounded by his loving family.
Tim was born on March 15, 1955 in Chicago, the son of Jack and Daisy (Spencer) Brackett. Tim married Angelia Shotton on October 13, 1974 in Macon County, IL. Angelia survives. Tim is also survived by his son: Tim (Lori) Brackett of Simpsonville, SC; a daughter; brother: Doug (Pattie) Brackett of Warrensburg, IL; grandchildren: Austin Klaus, Devin Brackett, Halie Klaus, Tory Davis, Chloe Smith, Makayla Brackett, Timber LeGrande; great-grandchildren: Liam Brackett and Ellie Smith. Tim is also survived by extended family: James & Melinda Calloway; Madison, Josh, and Kendell Calloway; Jeremy and Jamie Hiser; Chris Faith; Dave Switzer; 2 that were like brothers to Tim: Randy Mashburn and Mark Wasam; a very special friend: Mick Ball. Tim was preceded in death by his parents, and 3 great-grandchildren.
Tim was a carpenter for the State of Illinois Department of Corrections. He loved to hunt and fish. Most of all, he loved his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren deeply.
Memorial services to celebrate Tim’s life will be held at the First Church of the Nazarene on Saturday, June 19, 2021 at 1:00 PM. Cremation rites have been accorded to Tim. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the First Church of the Nazarene, or to a charity of the donor’s choice.
