Timothy Joseph Gore's Obituary
Timothy Joseph Gore, 75, of Decatur, passed away August 9, 2015, in Decatur Memorial Hospital surrounded by his family.
Timothy was born August 22, 1939, in West Frankfort, IL to John Joseph and Margaret Mary (Doyle) Gore. He graduated from Tuscola High School in 1957. He served in the United States Air Force. He married Carol Ann Bleichner on August 3, 1963, in Holy Cross Church in Champaign. He retired from the Secretary of State office in Decatur. He was a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, Knights of Columbus, American Legion and Sons of Ireland.
He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Carol; one son, Mark (Theresa) Gore of Lafayette, LA and two brothers, Daniel (Valerie) Gore of Pensacola, FL and James Gore of Decatur.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 a.m. Wednesday, August 12, 2015, at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, August, 11, 2015, with liturgical prayers recited at 4:30 p.m.at Moran & Goebel Funeral Home. Burial will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery in Pesotum. Memorials may be directed to American Diabetes, Alzheimer’s Association or Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church.
