Timothy Steven Jankowski's Obituary
Oakley – Timothy S. Jankowski, 30, of Oakley, lost his life to depression Tuesday, June 21, 2016.
Tim was a disabled veteran who was loved by many. He leaves behind so much beauty in the photographs he shot, the music he played by ear, the food he cooked, the “projects” he created, and his undying loyalty to his family. He was an entrepreneur at heart, with his own photography and web design businesses. An avid Cubs fan and obsessed with politics, he also enjoyed chasing “naders” with his wife and snuggling his son every night.
Tim was born on September 13, 1985 in Rockford, Illinois, the son of Steven and Peggy (Potter) Jankowski. He married Christy Dennis on December 30, 2006. Surviving are his wife Christy Jankowski of Oakley; son, Isaiah Jankowski of Oakley; parents, Steven and Peggy Jankowski of Decatur; sisters, Christina (Joe Pauley) Jankowski of Tampa, Florida; Melissa (Richard) Bush of Shirley, Illinois; a host of nieces, nephews, other extended family members, and his faithful canine companion, Dora, the chocolate lab.
Tim was preceded in death by his paternal and maternal grandparents and his faithful canine companion, Elijah, the Yorkie.
Services to celebrate Tim’s life will be at 6 pm Monday, June 27, 2016 in Moran & Goebel Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 4-6 pm on Monday, prior to the service. Private services for the burial will follow at a later date in Camp Butler National Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to Isaiah Jankowski’s college fund, C/O Christy Jankowski.
