Tommy Lee Walker's Obituary
Tommy Lee Walker, 66, of Decatur, passed away Sunday, October 17, 2021 at St. Mary’s Hospital.
Tommy was born in Clarksdale, Mississippi, on December 1, 1954, the son of David and Hannah Mae (Goodman) Walker. He worked as a tractor driver for Mississippi Power and Lights. Tommy was a very generous soul who made a big impact on everyone he met. He loved his family and friends and entertaining them.
Tommy is survived by his son Tommy D. Dear of Decatur; daughters Tonya (Festus) Harding of Decatur, Joyce A. (Antoine) Dear-Wheeler of Decatur, and Cynthia D. (Frank) Spikes of Jackson, Tennessee; brother Leroy Walker of Decatur; sisters Hannah Walker of Decatur, Clara (Sydney) Foster of Decatur, and Rosetta Walker of Decatur; sixteen grandchildren; and twenty-one great-grandchildren. Tommy was preceded in death by his parents; brothers Timothy Walker, David Walker, Earl Lee Walker, and Sam Walker; and sisters Willie Mae Walker, Georgia Jean Walker, and Willie Merle Henning.
Funeral service for Tommy Walker will be held at 11:00am on Saturday, October 23 at Moran and Goebel Funeral Home. Visitation will be prior to the service, from 10:00 to 11:00. Burial in Fairlawn Cemetery will follow the funeral service. Memorials may be given to the family for funeral expenses. Condolences may be left for the family at www.moranandgoebel.com.
