Velma June McFarland, 88, of Decatur, formerly of Vandalia, passed away Friday, September 11, 2020, at Villa Clara Post Acute.
June was born June 10, 1932, in Vandalia, IL to George Thomas and Mary Anetha (Sperry) England. She married William Russell McFarland. He passed away in 1992. She was a member of Central Baptist Church.
She is survived by her daughter, Mary (Jim) Cruser and her brother, Kenneth England.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, William; her son, Ronald McFarland; one brother, Lee England; and two sisters, Remola Eyman and Beulah Ritter.
Graveside services to celebrate the life of June will be 1 p.m. Friday, September 18, 2020, at Ritter Cemetery in Vandalia. Visitation will be from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. Thursday, at the Moran & Goebel Funeral Home. Memorials may be directed to Central Baptist Church or the donor's choice.
