Venessa Ann Davis' Obituary
Venessa Ann Landrum Davis passed away on Tuesday, June 17, 2025. She was born on September 21, 1956, in Decatur IL, to the late Timothy Young and Laura Hunt Rowe.
Venessa was a member of Community Church of God, where she served on the Usher Board for many years. She loved dancing and spending time with friends. She had a caregiver’s heart and worked in homecare.
She is survived by her sons: Marcellus, Timothy, and Lee Johnson, all of Detroit, MI; brothers, Edward Landrum of Chicago, Michael (Linda) Young and Brian K. Young of Georgia, and Todd (Tonyan) Young of Decatur; sisters, June Smith of South Carolina and Renee Young of Decatur; and a host of nieces, nephews, and in-laws, including special niece, Allie (Charles) Walker.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her maternal grandmother, Daisy Benson; husband and love of her life, Bobby E. Davis; brothers, Aljay Landrum, David Landrum, and Timothy Hunt; sisters, Ruthie Gray and Margaret Frazier; and mother-in-law, Annie Bell Buckley.

Venessa will be laid to rest in Fairlawn Cemetery at 11:00 AM on Friday, June 27, 2025. Elder Carol Spates will officiate.
