Verla E. Cheyne's Obituary
Verla E. Cheyne nee Bell, 88, passed away Thursday, Sept. 16, 2010, at Heritagespring Nursing Facility, West Chester, Ohio. Services will be held at 11a.m. Wednesday, September 22, at Moran & Goebel Funeral Home with visitation one hour before services. Burial will be in Graceland Cemetery where she will be laid to rest by her beloved husband of 57 years, James J. Cheyne.
Mrs. Cheyne was born December 12, 1921, in Lincoln, Nebraska, the daughter of Ira N. and Ona Workman Bell. She married James J. Cheyne on February 5, 1941. Mrs. Cheyne was a homemaker.
She was a devoted mother to Karen Doug Kamm, beloved grandmother to Audra Roger Seaman, Amy Scott Day, and Adam Kamm, and beloved
great-grandmother to Lily, Alaina, and Joshua, all of Ohio.
Also surviving Mrs. Cheyne are her sister Eunice Theron Bright of Champaign, brother-in-law and wife, Bud and Norma Collins of Mt. Pulaski,
and sister-in-law, Sybil Watson of Borene, Texas.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, two brothers and her twin sister.
