I’m so sad to hear about Verna’s passing. I knew her when she worked at Orchard street group home. She was so fun to be around and used to tell all the girls to own a cat before ever getting pregnant. I miss her and I’m praying for her family and friends during this difficult time.
I've known and loved Verna since I was 16! Though we lost touch the last couple of years I always sent her a xmas card with pictures and/or updates on my girls and grandkids. So many fond and funny memories with her. Listening to her talk to Cynthia and Keith I will always treasure. Hoping she is reunited with 'Chief' after all of these years. Thinking of all of her friends, the Hise's and her family.
May God comfort Aunt Verna's children, Melanie, Gary and Greg. Her daughter, Michelle died in 2013. She has one sister, who is still living. Verna loved to talk, loved to shop, loved cats, and loved to give stuff to her friends. May you know the joy of our Lord and rest in His care. Your niece, Linda.
I was living at orchard street group home when Verna worked there and we had such a great time. She was always ready to talk about anything to anyone. My sympathies to her family.
