I would like to send my condolences and well wishes to Tony's Family. I knew him from UPS and He came in now and then to visit at my bar, Just One More. I will miss Tony, as I know many others will. So Sorry. Jan Niesman
Evertime I was coming to get him he'd say is it real time or Jesica time lol
I knew Tony when he worked for me at UPS in the hub on olive st. He was liked by everyone and was one of best workers in the hub. Tony followed me to the operation center on Brett st. as a driver. Again he was an outstanding employee. He was willing to do any job,and did it well. He will be missed.Bob Goodall
Tony was a wonderful co-worker with me and many others at UPS. My father was also named Virgil, Virgil Eugene, but went by Gene. We had talked about this. Sorry to hear of his passing. Prayers to his family.
Tony you were a big part of our lives for over 24 years spanning UPS and Ameren. Thanks for all the 3 AM midnight shift talks and letting us in. You had a huge heart with a tough exterior. I will always remember you coaxing me into taking Tuffy off your hands. You said Clapton is a great dad! But what I heard at home from Curt was "Where did he come from and how does he go back?" You will love this for all to see .. You Were Right! You will be missed! Rest in Peace Friend. Shelley & Curt Phelps
We had over 4 decades of friendship, from children running around the neighborhood to middle aged men with middle aged lives. You were an important part of my upbringing, one of the more intelligent influences that I will always remember and treasure. Whenever I play pool I always remember the countless hours you and I spent at Tozierâ??s Billiards pool hall where we learned to play Snooker and Straight Pool. We were maybe 12 or 13. I remember our high school days when we both worked part-time at UPS. A bunch of teenagers getting off work at 3:00AM makes for some interesting times. You stayed at UPS and did very well. I moved away, but stayed in touch over the years. Acquaintances come and go over the years, but friendship endures. When I got married at age 50 there was no Plan B in case you refused to be my Best Man and to play such an important part in my personal life. You were my natural choice. I will miss you Virg. Rest in peace my friend.
