Virginia Kay Crum's Obituary
Decatur – Virginia Kay (McCoy) Crum, 55, of Decatur, IL passed away on June 3, 2016 in St. John’s Hospital in Springfield, IL.
Virginia was born August 27, 1960 in Shelbyville, IL the daughter of Leo Dale and Annetta Mae (Durbin) McCoy. She worked for Dave Billingsley’s BP in Mt. Zion and Decatur where she worked for over 25 years. She also worked for the Decatur Herald & Review, both jobs she really loved doing. She was a very hard worker and enjoyed helping people.
Virginia married Charles H. Crum on March 14, 1988 in Janesville, WI. He survives. Also surviving are her daughter, Cortney Anne McCoy and son, Colton Jay Crum both of Decatur, IL; granddaughter, MaeKayla McCoy; sisters, Patricia Groves and husband Curtis of Decatur, IL; Mary “Sam” Iverson of Decatur; brother, Steve McCoy and wife Becky of Maroa, IL; grandmother, Alice Durbin of Altamont, IL; several nieces, nephews, and other surviving relatives but mostly she was friends with everyone.
Virginia was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Joe McCoy.
Visitation will be 5-7 PM Thursday, June 9, 2016 in Graceland/Fairlawn Funeral Home. Service to celebrate Virginia’s life will follow at 7 PM in the funeral home. The family request casual attire.
