Virginia M. McEvoy's Obituary
Decatur – Virginia Marie McEvoy, 88, of Decatur passed away on Wednesday, April 6, 2011 in Decatur Rehabilitation and Health Care Center.
Virginia was born on July 13, 1922 the daughter of Edward and Jessie Wickline Cozad. She was a past member of St. James Catholic Church. She married Linus McEvoy in 1942 he preceded her in death in 1986.
Surviving are her son, Pat McEvoy Nopie of Decatur; daughters, Linda Farley Gene of Joliet; Sally Spitzer of Dalton City; seven grandchildren, and nine great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, three brothers, and two sisters.
The family would like to thank Chris White and staff at Decatur Rehabilitation and Health Care Center and Harbor Light for all their love and care of “Grandma”.
Funeral Liturgy will be 1:00 pm Saturday in Moran & Goebel Funeral Home with Rev. Jeff Grant presiding. Visitation will be one hour before service in funeral home. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery.
