James Jim D. Vitton 83 of Decatur died Sunday November 21, 2004 in Decatur Memorial Hospital.
Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 am Wednesday December 01, 2004 in Saint Patrick Catholic Church with Rev. Father Jeff Grant as celebrant, visitation will be 6-8 pm Tuesday November 30, 2004 with vigil prayers recited at 5:45 pm in Moran & Goebel Funeral Home. Burial will be 2 pm Wednesday December 01, 2004 in Oak Hill Cemetery Taylorville with Military Rites being conducted by Macon County Honor Guard. James was born in Nokomis on June 27, 1921 the son of Mathew and Angelica Gianasi Vitton. He was an office manager for the United States Department of Labor in Decatur for over 40 years. He served his country during World War II in the United States Army. He was a lifetime member of Saint Patrick Catholic Church in Decatur.
James leaves behind to cherish fond memories his six sons: Jim, Joe, Jerry, Jamie, Chris and Chuck, 12 grandchildren, and 4 great grandchildren. He is also survived by Viola Hill, a long time friend.
