Vivian Irene Boyle's Obituary
Vivian Irene Boyle, 89, of Decatur, died on Thursday, Oct. 27, 2005 in Fair Havens Christian Home.
Mass of Christian Burial celebrating her life will be 10 a.m. Mon. Oct. 31, 2005 in St. Patrick Catholic Church, Fr. Jeff Grant celebrant. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow in Mt. Gilead Cemetery. Moran & Goebel Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
Ms. Boyle was born on April 7, 1916 in Mt. Vernon, the daughter of Leroy "Joe" and Goldie Cates Lowry. For part of her life Vivian was a self employed hairdresser. She also worked at the Signal Depot, Federal IRS, Social Security office, and was a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church. Vivian married William E. Boyle and together they owned and operated the Boyle Boat Company on Lake Decatur.
Surviving are her daughters, Carolyn Norbits of Decatur and Billie LeCrone of Springfield; sister, Sandy husband, Dean Doss of Georgia; grandchildren: Linda Baker of Decatur, Danielle husband, Jim Donahue of Texas, Elizabeth husband, Dean Davis of Indiana, Brenda husband, Jim Seaberg of Decatur and Suzette husband, David Rood of Wheaton, IL; 5 great-grandchildren; one great-great grandson; several nieces and nephews.
Vivian was preceded in death by her parents; husband; one grandson, Patrick LeCrone; one great-grandson; two sisters and two brothers.
The family would like to thank the wonderful staff of Fair Havens Christian Nursing Home for the loving care they gave Vivian.
