Walter Perry's Obituary
Walter Perry Jr. 82 of Brownsville, TN but resided in Decatur, IL left to the calling of the Lord on Sunday September 10, 2006 in Aspen Ridge Nursing Home.
Services will be 11:30 am Friday September 15, 2006 at Love Fellowship Church with Overseer James Wills Officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to service. Final resting place will be Camp Butler National Cemetery with Military rites conducted by Inter-Veterans Burial Detail of Sangamon County.
Walter was born on July 7, 1924 in Brownsville, TN the son of Walter Perry Sr. and Carrie Reed. He served his country proudly in the United Sates Army 1943-1945. In 1945 he was honorably discharged with honors.
Walter leaves to cherish precious memories his wife of 57 years Gebratha Bond, three daughters, Linda Bond, Labirtha Sam Johnson, Mary James Killings all of Decatur; one son, Marvin Patricia Perry Sr. also of Decatur; brothers, Wilbur Cora Perry of Highland Park, MI; Edgar Perry of Decatur; sisters, Mary Jelks, Clara Smith, Carrie Willie Ligen all of Decatur; Georgia Phelps, Goldie Curtis Cole, and Marjorie Poe all of Detroit, MI; Madelia Tyus of Brownsville, TN; He leaves precious memories to 12 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren, and 3 great-great-grandchildren, and a host of other family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, one son, Walter Perry III, one daughter, Elaine Elem, one brother, Jimmie Lee Perry Sr., one grandson, Carlise Perry and one granddaughter, Michelle Killion.
Walter is now in his final resting place with his Lord.
