Wayne C. Finch's Obituary
Wayne C. Finch 95 of Decatur died Friday January 2, 2004 in St. Mary's Hospital Emergency Room.
Graveside services will be 2:00 pm Monday January 5, 2004 in the Illini Cemetery with. Rev. E. Eugene Worthy officiating. Visitation will be 12:30-1:30 pm Monday in Moran & Goebel Funeral Home. Mr. Finch was born on January 9, 1908 in Kenney, IL the son of William and Bertha Davison Finch. He worked various jobs over his life including owning a roller-skating rink and a scrap iron business. He was a big baseball fan he enjoyed rooting for the St. Louis Cardinals. He also liked to watch NASCAR. He married June E. Hensley in 1934 in Maroa.
Surviving are his wife June, sons, Tim Finch Rosemary Thurman and Kevin Finch Tina all of Decatur; daughter, Judy McCallister Ronnie of Louisiana; Twelve grandchildren, Thirteen great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, four sisters, and one brother.
