Wendell Hollingsead's Obituary
Wendell O. Hollingsead, 74, of Decatur, IL passed away May 24, 2020 at his residence.
Wendell was born May 9, 1946 in Decatur, IL, the son of Helen (Smith) and Charles Hollingsead. He was employed as an assembler with GE and was later a subcontractor.
He enjoyed camping and fishing, watching television and was an avid reader.
Surviving are his children, Joe Hollingsead of Decatur, IL, Wendy McGinnis (David) of Decatur, IL; siblings, Diane Lugari (Ron) of Decatur, IL, Gerald “Bud” Hollingsead (Nancy) of Warrensburg, IL, Carol Morville of Decatur, IL, Pam Randol of Decatur, IL, Steve Beals of Niantic, IL; grandchildren, Sarah, Josh, Whitney, Chelsea, David, Quentin and several great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Helen and Clifford Beals and father, Charles Hollingsead and grandson, Matthew.
Private Graveside services will be held at Macon County Memorial Park.
The Moran and Goebel Funeral Home has been entrusted with the care of Wendell.
