Wilbur Xavior Brown's Obituary
Wilbur Xavior Brown, 90, passed away on January 24, 2023, in Gibson City, IL.
Wilbur was born to August and Mary Brown on October 2, 1932, in Coffeen, IL. He married Margaret Hutchinson in 1959, in Springfield, IL. After Margaret passed away, Wilbur married Ann Mae Powers on July 11, 1988. He worked for Caterpillar as a unit adjuster for 33 years. Wilbur was a member of the United Methodist Church in Weldon, IL.
Wilbur was an energetic man. He enjoyed fishing, mushroom hunting and enjoyed a good game of Bingo. He loved anything to do with planes including travel. He went to Scotland, Alaska and the Panama Canal just to name a few places.
Wilbur is survived by his son, Patrick (Rebecca) Brown; stepdaughter, Roberta Slone; grandchildren, Nicholas (Mary) Brown, Paul (Colleen) Brown, Brianna Slone, Jared Slone; great grandchildren, Reagan, Isaac and many extended family and friends.
Wilbur is preceded in death by his wives, Margaret and Anna; parents, and daughter, Elizabeth Ann Renner.
A service will be held on Monday, January 30, 2023, at 10:00 AM at Moran and Goebel Funeral Home with a burial at St. Isidor Cemetery in Bethany, IL to follow services. A visitation will be held on Sunday, January 29, 2023, from 2:00 to 4:00 PM at Moran and Goebel.
