Will "Crow" Harden's Obituary
On Friday, April 13, 2012, Will “Crow” Harden, 77, of Decatur, departed this life after a lengthy illness. Now he has gone home to be with the Lord.
He was born March 17, 1935 in Mercer, TN, to the union of Austin Harden and Lorraine Transou. Will grew up in Brownsville, TN and moved to Decatur in 1964 with his wife and children. After he retired from Wagner Casting he began repairing lawnmowers. Will was very mild mannered and he loved to help people. He enjoyed gardening, fishing and hunting.
Will began his walk with Christ in 2011.
He leaves to cherish his memory, his wife of 54 years, Sarah Lee Cooper Harden and seven children: Wayne Betty Day, Indianapolis, IN; Brenda Blue, Decatur, IL; Joyce Allen Jackson, Glen Carbon, IL; Terresa Robert Anderson, Decatur, IL; Wilbert Harden, Decatur, IL; Clifford Harden, St. Louis, MO; and Shannon Harden, Decatur, IL. Twenty-one grandchildren and Thirty-one great grandchildren. Two sisters: Rosie Mae Currie, St. Louis, MO; and Annie Lou Brassfield, Decatur, IL; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Will was preceded in death by his parents; twin sister, Willie Mae Morgan, older brother, Roger Hill and son-in-law Louis “Jody” Blue.
Funeral service will be 11 a.m. Saturday, April 21, 2012 at Living Word Ministries; visitation will be one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow in Macon County Memorial Park.
