William Sampson “Hank” Huff (Uncle Candy), 76, of Decatur passed away on Saturday, April 18, 2015 at 11:35 AM in Decatur Memorial Hospital with his family by his side.
Hank was born on March 6, 1939 in Laurel, MS to the union of Doc and Lucille Huff. Hank accepted Christ at an early age. He worked for Norfolk and Southern Railroad for many years. He loved the outside, sitting on the porch and spending time with family and friends.
He leaves to cherish not to mourn his sons, Quanerferro Huff of Denver,CO; Ronald Morton of Atlanta, GA; sisters, Emma L. Matthews of Decatur; Eunice Jackson of Buffalo, NY;special nieces, Phyllis Foster, Joyce Harvey, Ruth McClellan-Huff, Bessie Matthews, Emma Matthews, Theresa Matthews; special friend, Darlene Jones.
He was preceded in death by one son, his parents, 4 brothers, and 2 sisters.
The family would like to thank the staff at DMH 4100 South ICU for all their care.
Homegoing services will be 11 AM Friday, April 24, 2015 in Moran & Goebel Funeral Home. Visitation will be 10-11 AM Friday in the funeral home. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery.
